What’s the difference between a lease and an exclusive?
A lease is non-exclusive: you can release your song within the limits of the tier (streams, videos, term), and other artists can lease the same beat. An exclusive removes the beat from the store the moment you pay, with no usage caps.
What files do I get?

- Stems Lease — tracked-out stems + WAV + MP3
- Exclusive — everything
What happens if my song passes the stream limit?
Upgrade the license or reach out. Limits are honour-system in practice — nobody is counting your streams — but the contract is what protects you if the song gets big.
Someone bought the exclusive on a beat I leased. Am I in trouble?
No. Your lease stays valid for its full term. You just can’t renew or upgrade it afterwards.
Can I make an offer on an exclusive?
Yes. Open any beat, choose Exclusive, and use Make an offer. You’ll hear back by email, usually within a day.
Content ID and publishing
We don’t run YouTube Content ID or publishing administration for you in v1. Lease holders may not register songs with Content ID (it would claim every other artist on the beat). Exclusive buyers may. Publishing splits are stated in each contract; talk to a PRO and an attorney before you release.
Do I need to credit the producer?
Yes — every license asks for “Prod. by AETHER” in the title metadata or description.
